ODALC staff was in full effect for the Oakland Running Festival / Marathon 2010. Led by ODALC’s community development director, Doris Newsome, we hit the streets getting a unique perspective of Oakland’s first marathon in 25 years. Improving the image of Oakland is one of the goals of the newly formed non-profit, Oakland Digital Arts & Literacy Center. Here is what we experienced:
